Kodiak is fortunate enough to have an oustanding Fish & Game Department. In the past 20 years the management of the resources and the continued healthy big game populations have insured high success ratios and outstanding hunting possibilities, and will for years to come.

Lee Robbins, Registered Guide

In order to hunt Kodiak Brown Bear, and Roosevelt Elk, hunters will need to apply for a permit through the Alaska Department of Fish and Game. This is a simple process and can be accomplished over the internet; we would be happy to help with this or to answer any questions you might have. Successful applicants that draw permits will need the permit, hunting license and tag. Non resident bear hunters are required to use the services of a registered guide. A signed hunt contract must be on file with the Kodiak Fish and Game in order to hunt. Non residents will also need a metal locking tag.
